‘Surf Dance II’ is inspired by the rocky shoreline of Maine.  I love standing on the rocks and immersing myself in the rhythm of the water washing up on the rocks, and then receding.  I can do this for hours.

Fabric collage created with hand-dyed cotton fabrics, quilted with a variety of polyester and silk threads.  The pieces of the collage are permanently fused and stitched, prior to quilting.
