‘Respite’ was inspired by visits to a friend’s back yard garden pond.  To stand at the edge, hearing the water trickle and the birds sing, brings about an indescribable peace.

Fabric collage created with hand-dyed cotton fabrics, quilted with a variety of polyester threads.  The pieces of the collage are permanently fused and stitched, prior to quilting.
